Product Supply Organization
The Product Supply Organization brings together the integrated manufacturing, logistics and supply chain functions in a single window, ‘customer forward’ way. PSO plays a key role by providing expertise in operations planning, manufacturing, transportation, customer service and warehousing. PSO professionals utilise modern Supply Chain Management Systems to manage inventory levels, plan ingredient and material requirements, manage a complex transportation system and support customers' demands through a network of strategically placed distribution centres. Customer Marketing Organization
India is a unique country with fragmented trade channels. Over 4 million retail outlets exist across the country. These outlets often wield significant influence in the consumer decision. Often, normal one-on-one sales efforts are not sufficient to influence these customers. Customer Marketing Organization (CMO) is a team that develops marketing initiatives by combining mass marketing concepts like segmentation and need gap analysis with trade promotion strategy to build brand equity in the minds of the trade. Customer (trade) marketing not only creates short term impact in distribution and sales, but also positions the brand for the future by creating motivating tactics that actively involve the consumer. Sales
Sales, at Sapat, is not just about servicing retail outlets. It is an integrated approach to building business for our customers. We call it ‘Customer Business Development’ or CBD. The process begins with preparing customer business plans, selection of SKUs, devising roll-out strategies, to delivering a successful business proposition for our distributors and trade partners. We also have an integrated ‘category management’ process that focuses on modern trade outlets. Category executives manage these outlets as independent profit centers. The Marketing Services team combines market research, media planning and marketing information systems (MIS) in a seamless way to build competitive advantage and deliver improved marketing ROI. We believe that outperforming our competitors requires more than marketing strategies. It requires a superior understanding of the consumer. Brand Design entails visually articulating our brands across all packaging, promotions and business units. Brand design brings in the unique design and style trends, combines them with strategic imperatives and converts these into a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Brand design leads definition and delivery of customer experience through our products and services. The team assists in the development and management of a consistent brand identity across initiatives and business divisions, hence leveraging our investments and building on our customer promise. Tea Purchase and Quality Assurance
Our reputation is based on great tasting blends. Therefore, skillful evaluation and careful selection of tea is crucial. However, it’s our unique artisan blending that gives our tea its distinctive flavor. At times up to a 1000 samples are tasted every day in the tea tasting room to decide whether a tea is right for a certain blend. Then the components are put together for the perfect blend. The skill and commitment of the TPQA team determines what we buy and ensures that our blended teas are always of the same high quality.

New Product Development group based in India and USA, consists of both technical experts and a cross functional team that is focused on various innovation projects. This team works with passion in analyzing and understanding people's needs to create unique products to delight our consumers. Despite tight deadlines our NPD team is always pushing the boundaries.
