The first Sapat outlet was founded by Ramashankar Haribhai Joshi in Nashik, way back in 1905 (view timeline). The goal: to produce the best Chai in the world. Each cup of Sapat tea is the result of 110 years of experience. And is testimony to our meticulous selectivity and inspired blending. Over the years, we've grown up steeped in the chai culture of India, and played a significant role in shaping it. Today over 250 million cups of Sapat Chai are consumed every month.
